Looking Back at the Learning Expedition 2025

After two intense days at REuse Economy Expo 2025, we kept the momentum going with a field visit designed for an entirely international audience, eager to see how reuse systems operate in France.

And what better way to illustrate this than by following the journey of a returnable bottle, from its collection at a retail location to its reintroduction into the market?

Four steps, four locations, four committed partners — and plenty of inspiration:

  • Collection with Petrel Circular Commerce at the Super U in Nogent-sur-Marne ;
  • Washing at Uzaje, also in Nogent-sur-Marne ;
  • Bottling at Symbiose Kéfir in Ivry-sur-Seine ;
  • and finally, reintroduction into the market at Cojean on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris.

The visit also provided an opportunity for rich discussions throughout the day between participants, our teams from Réseau Vrac & Réemploi, and those from New Era, to exchange perspectives on reuse practices in their respective countries.

This year, the visit brought together participants from nine different countries!
See you at the next edition!

Looking Back at the Learning Expedition 2024

Wednesday, May 15, following and complementing the Salon du Vrac et du Réemploi, 15 international players in the reuse sector gathered to meet Parisian stakeholders in the field.

During the morning, they had the opportunity to:

☕️ Grab a coffee at Starbucks in a reusable container ➡️ a chance to focus on Article 42 of the AGEC law, which allows consumers to get a discount on their beverage as long as the container is clean and suitable for the drink purchased.

🚿 Visit the Aquarys washing center

👁️ Discover a corner of Loop-branded deposit-return products, available in 150 Carrefour stores

🍽️ Test the NoWW smart collector, installed at Ekimetrics ➡️ this collector helps employees reduce their daily waste

🧴 See a demonstration of pharmacy refill furniture in action

A successful first edition, full of valuable exchanges and sharing between multiple nationalities, all united around the same goal: growing the reuse sector 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 🇳🇱 🇪🇸
